He was predeceased by: his parent Jim Shaw; and his parent-in-law Bob Trevethick. He is survived by: his children-in-law, Peter, Jessie, Nicholas and Stephanie; his parent Irene Shaw (Waverley); his parent-in-law Loma Trevethick; his brother Bronwyn Dowdle; and his sibling-in-law Russell Dowdle.
