He is survived by : his spouse Lyn; his children, Carolyn Southcombe, Mark Southcombe, Marty, Kerrin, Kelvin, Siobhan, Karen and Alwyn Poole; his grandchildren, Luke, Bree, Joshua, Holly, Regan of Adam, Mason of Quinn, Michael, Carolina, Daniel, Erica and Jaimee; and his great grandchildren, Leah, Lachie and Charlie.

In memory of John, donations to the St John Ambulance Service Wanganui, would be appreciated and can be placed in the Chapel Atrium.
