He was loved and cherished by many people including : his spouse Jean; his children, Marie (Mal), Teina (Sam), Chris, Fiona (Phil), Vicki (Gordon), Steven, Tia, Nikki (Richie), Tua (Arnie) and Serena (Roni); his parents, Teariki Aue Ngaau and Vainepoto Taia Ngaau; and his siblings, Tokoruakore, Kaokao (Keu), Tangata Aerepo (Polly), Nioputa Metua (John), Vainetutai (Anne), Tere Evangelia, Mii (Mana), Tura (Grace), Tuteretere (Teena), Putai and Motu Kora.
