She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Grant; her friend Athol; her children-in-law, Karen Ashby, Bill Ashby (Melbourne), Karl (Melbourne), Faye and Chris Shilling (Dunedin); her grandchildren, Alisha, Rene (Perth), Justin and Renee (Melbourne); and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Jessica, Blake and Riley.
