George Melvyn Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 25, 2025, George Melvyn (Burnside, South Island) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid George farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For George is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Andrew (Vera) and Jo (Ben); his grandchildren, Cizanella, Abigail, Ruby, William and Maximilian; his sisters, Valerie (Keith), Yvonne (Les), Pamela (Clinton) and Janice; Sandra.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Oaklands.
