He was loved and cherished by many people including : his spouse Chrissie; his daughters, Heather, Cathie (Sam) and Jill; his grandchildren, Sam, Sally, Grace, Katie, Quin, James, Laura and Edan; and also Ned.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 23rd 2023 at 1:30 PM at the Glentunnel Community Centre (2652 Homebush Road, Glentunnel 7673, New Zealand).
