He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Kirsty; his children, Zach, Sayler and Cassie; his parents, Ivan and Joan; his parents-in-law, Michael, Sue, Kathy and Steve; his siblings, Cheryl (Andy), Lindy (Gavin) and Mark (Kay); and his nieces and nephews, Erin, Niall, Jayme, Kate, Logan and Gabby.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the St Andrew's College Centennial Chapel (347 Papanui Road, Strowan, Christchurch 8052, New Zealand).
In lieu of flowers, it was Dale's wish to set up a fund through The Willowbank Foundation that will support other families going through illness, or trauma, by giving them a sponsored day out at Willowbank, the Antarctic Centre, or another partner organisation.
