He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Val; his children-in-law, Wayne McDonald, Janet McDonald (Gisborne) and Kath McDonald (Christchurch); and his grandchildren, Shaun, Jodie, Kate, Paul, Glen and Luella.
