He was predeceased by: his parent Russell Box; his spouse Doreen Francis Box; and his sibling-in-law Maureen Box (Nelson). He is survived by: his parent Ada Box (Christchurch); his children-in-law, Eddie Box, Jackie Box (Christchurch), Karen Hall, Graham Hall (Invercargill), Teena Box and Chris Gibson (Christchurch); and his siblings-in-law, Raymond and Janice Box (Brisbane).
