In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping Eugene's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret; his children, Cecilia (Richard) and Chris (Jacquie); and his grandchildren, Lily, Oscar, Polly and Alexander.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the St Gregory's Catholic Church (26 Cotswold Avenue, Bishopdale, Christchurch 8053, New Zealand). A Mass will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at the Avonhead Memorial Cemetery.
