He was predeceased by : his wife Naomi; his child Andrea; and his stepdaughter Faye Murdoch. He is survived by : his children, Julie, David Cook, Peter and Paula; and his stepchildren, John, Wendy Toohey, Anne and Gary Gerard.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Our Westpark Chapel (467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Christchurch 8053, New Zealand).
