He is survived by: his spouse Cathy; his children, Megan, Gareth and Roslyn Eason; his children-in-law, Mark Bunch, Jo Laurenson and Darren Eason; and his grandchildren, Reuben Bunch and Miranda Bunch.

Peter was a loving husband to Cathy for 47 years, loving father to Megan, Gareth, and Roslyn Eason, an amazing father-in-law to Mark Bunch, Jo Laurenson, and Darren Eason, and a much loved grandpa to Reuben, and Miranda Bunch. "Your fight may be over, but your memory will live on in our hearts." In lieu of flowers, donations to the Harakeke Club, Presbyterian Support would be appreciated and may be made at the service.
