He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charlie Tripp and Myra Tripp of Nithdale Station; his wife Sally Tripp; his sons, Tim (Alli), David (Helen) and Andrew (Heather); and his grandchildren, Laura, Esther, Matt, Sam, Rebekah, Levi, Danielle, Alisha and Josh.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Beckenham Methodist Church (83 Malcolm Avenue, Beckenham, Christchurch 8023, New Zealand). A burial was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at the St Cuthbert's Anglican Church (8 Governors Bay Teddington Road, Governors Bay, Allandale 8971, New Zealand).
