He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jane; his daughters, Jo Ashton-Martyn (Hugh Martyn), Kate (Richard Bell), Sue Ashton and Elizabeth Ashton; and his grandchildren, Henry, Yangtong, Madeleine, Ethan, Sam, Anna, Tom, Zoe, Charlotte, Ash, Georgie, Gabe, William, Harriet, Charles and Max.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Westpark (467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Christchurch 8053, New Zealand).
