She was predeceased by : her spouse Hugh Thompson. She is survived by : her children-in-law, Peter Smithies, Cathy Smithies (Australia), Errol Smithies, Marilyn Smithies, Ann Smithies and Ian Smithies (Gore); and her grandchildren, Ricky, Naomi, Corrina, Roby, Amanda, Phillip, Paul, Nicola, Rachel, Kevin, Donald, Karen, Kathleen and Dean.
