She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Askew and Elizabeth Askew (Erwine); her sisters, Betty Karshner (Jack) of Rocky Mount, NC and Ruth Matteson (Jim) of Rocky Mount, NC; her children, Linda Bernauer (Kevin), Jonathan, Alan Bernauer and Debra Long (Ken); her grandchildren, Mallory Howard (Long), Robby, Christopher Long, David, Steve, Meg Carlson, Alex, Buffy Wieneke, Peter (Tammy Taylor), Marisa, Max, Eben and Tessa Wieneke; and her great grandchild Eleanor Howard. She was also cherished by one nephew and three nieces.
