He was predeceased by: his father Harry Eugene MacDermaid; and his grandparents, John, Edna MacDermaid, Raymond and Alice Adair.
He is survived by: his mother Lucille MacDermaid of Michigan; his wife Glenna MacDermaid of Kenai; his siblings, Gail Heath (John) of Michigan, Tom MacDermaid of California and David MacDermaid of Texas; his children, Deborah Rothchild (Ryan) of Alaska and Mitchel MacDermaid (Annie) of Arizona; the mother of his children Martha MacDermaid of Arizona; his grandchildren, MacDermaid Isaak Rothchild, Tyler Savage (Molly), Daria MacDermaid, Kaleb, Payton, Ben, Holly, Heidi, Zachary, Reese, London, Dezmond, Solene and Jaala; and his great grandchild Stella Savage.
