She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin N. Moten. She is survived by: her children, Natalie R. Moten of Anchorage, AK, Melvin N., Jr. of Pittsburgh and Nancy R. Moten of Pittsburgh; and her sisters, Dolores Whitt and Mary Gregory. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Foundation.
