It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lewis Dean Jr. (Anchorage, Alaska), born in Dolomite, Alabama, who passed away on May 11, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Lewis Dean and Annie Kate Dean; his brothers, Henry Dean, Robert Dean and Stanley Dean; and his daughter Pamela Dean.
He is survived by: his wife Linnie Dean; his children, Eric Dean, Darryl Dean (Mary) and Deborah Dean; his granddaughters, Brittney Dean and Brianna Dean; his great grandchildren, Demetrius Frye, Daquarius Frye, Deandre Howard and Kymanii Robeson; his great great grandchild Kavari Hojayfá-Frye; his siblings, Mary Helen Currier (Theodis), Lula Thompson (Arnold), Sandra Kirkland (Nathaniel), Eddie Dean (Jill) and Vernelda Korneagay; and his friend Gregory Gaskins. He is also survived by father, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
