He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Gust Palmer; his brothers, Leon and Paul; and his stepson Richard David Palmer. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Harvey Palmer (Jessica Sokol), Rickie Jean Lynch (Brian) and Michelle Taylor (Robert); and his great grandchildren, Charles, Shelby Lynch, Rhys Dupuis, Kane, Armand Palmer, Maxine, Josephine Taylor and Richelle Taylor Dubovyk (Alexandr).
