He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert George Bernhardt and Rose Cora Elizabeth Bernhardt; and his brother Glenn. He is survived by: his wife Linda; and his children, John, Dirk, Eric Bernhardt and Erika Bennett. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
