He is survived by: his parents, Charles Mattoon and Virginia Mattoon; his spouse Mary Frey Mattoon; his sister Heather Tafuro of Long Island, N. Y.; his sibling's children, Jennifer Yost of Pennsylvania and Scott Mayernick of Connecticut; and his sons, Charles, Jason, Matthew and Christopher Mattoon.
