We are sad to announce that on July 27, 2018, at the age of 76, William Lloyd Phelps (Anchorage, Alaska), born in Astoria, Oregon passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son William Phelps, Jr.; and his parents, Retta Phelps and Lloyd Phelps. He is survived by: his daughter Samantha Bonter; his son-in-law Todd Bonter; his grandchildren, Danica Bonter and Tucker Bonter of Traverse City, MI.; his brother Robert Phelps; his sister-in-law Judy Phelps of Olympia, WA; and his nieces, Chrissie Phelps, Marcie Phelps of Volcano, HI. and Bill.
He is also survived by his brother Robert Phelps and sister-in-law Judy Phelps of Olympia, WA as well as nieces Chrissie Phelps and Marcie Phelps of Volcano, HI. "Recent words used to describe Bill are kind, a good man with a quiet and steady presence, incredibly patient, sweet, and a beautiful soul. He was a man of few words but was always there when anyone needed him for anything. He didn't just have two kids, but numerous others who consider him a second dad. He also has an entire family of ex in-laws who he remained very close with – he was a much loved "brother-in-law that never went away." He was also a very proud grandpa who drove and flew numerous times across the country to spend time with his grandkids. He loved them and treasured this time.
