She was predeceased by : her parents, John Bahnub and Eva Bahnub; her husband Edward; her daughter Kathleen Jo Hollier Olsen (Ron); her siblings, Lucille Sumerwell, Jean Hart, Billy and Jack Bahnub; and her friend Paul Kim.

She is survived by : her children, Gary, Gilda and Linda Sue Hollier; her grandchildren, Sarah, Abraham, Hollier-Pellegrom, Carrie, Daniel, Hollier and Norman; her great grandchildren, Zane, Claire, Jayden, Troy and Carmen; and her siblings, Lillian Hart and Claire Bahnub.

Joanna volunteered her time at the Kenai Senior Center, the Council of Aging, Senior Connections, Kenai Foundation, Pioneers of Alaska, and the Kenai Historical Society.
