It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Daniel Deer (Soldotna, Alaska), who passed away on March 6, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Daniel Deer to pay them a last tribute.

He is survived by : his wife Gladys Deer of Soldotna; his sons, Richard "Lee" Martin (Bev) of Kasson Minnesota and Jeffrey "Lynn" Martin (Jenny); his grandchildren, Amanda Lane, Rebecca Kelley (Brodie), Morgan Martin, Kolby Martin and Zackary Martin; and his great grandchildren, Opal Lane and Winslo Kelley.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
