He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Gellness Giles; his children, Scott Giles (Renee) of Cincinnati, OH and Kevin Giles of Alabaster, AL; his grandchildren, Jade (Eli), Abby, Kara, Courtney Giles and Alex Keller (Rob); his great grandchildren, Brayden Sargeant, Remi and Eliza Keller; his brother Wayne H. Giles (Alice); and his cousin JoAnn Stewart. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family request memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's of Central Alabama and the Michael J. Fox Parkinson Foundation.
