He was predeceased by: his brother Caesar Dawkins; his daughters, Shundria Muldrow-Sanders (Andrew) and Ashley Renee Muldrow; his granddaughter Aniyah Sanders; his siblings, Andrew Dawkins of Huntsville, AL, James "Jimi" Dawkins and Theora Powell (Sylvester); his uncle Clifford Muldrow (Queen); and his aunts, Jean Morris of Nashville, TN, Eloise Young and Carson.

He is survived by: his spouse Rena.
