It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Hazel Batie of Albertville, Alabama, who passed away on August 4, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy Boyd Batie; her parents, Fleda Campbell Dobbs and Homer Lee Dobbs Sr.; and her siblings, Virginia Clack (Glendon), Baby Dobbs, Homer Lee Dobbs Jr. and Paul Dobbs.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Chad Benefield, Matthew Benefield, Benjamin Lang, Daniel Williams, Terry Bayless, Brian Beckles and Jim Hardin; her children, Donna Benefield of Albertville, AL, Elizabeth Sparks (Phillip) of Albertville, AL and James "Anthony" Batie (Laurie) of Snead, AL; and her siblings, Wanda Bayless of Albertville, AL, Letha Dobbs of Albertville, AL and Danny Dobbs (Cathy) of Loganville, GA. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
