She was predeceased by: her parents, T. F. Carruth and Jo Carruth; her husband George Vance Towers, Sr.; her son-in-law Norman Spear; her grandson Vance Hodges; and her sisters, Gail Carruth Weatherly and Barbara "Tootsie" Wood.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Rothberger (Earl), Sherrie Spear, Vance Towers (Renae) and David Towers (Lisa). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Albertville First United Methodist Church (204 Madison Ave, Albertville, AL 35950). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Methodist Church of Albertville or Shepherd's Cove Hospice.
