She is survived by: her husband George Hempel of Albertville; her son Michael; her daughter-in-law Melisa Hempel of Albertville; her granddaughter Sarah Hempel; and her sisters, Marianne (Gene Livingston), Christa Rogers, Else Hetsch and Thea (Harold Herrmann).
