He was predeceased by: his parents, Pauline Carmean and Albert Carmean; his wife Velma Frances Carmean (Shelton); and his siblings, Sarah Jean Dodge, Louise Jantho, Cletis Carmean and Bobby Carmean.
He is survived by: his children, Dallas Sherry Chastain of Los Angels, CA and Richard Scott Carmean of Douglas, AL; and his stepdaughters, Linda Alldridge of Albertville, Rhonda Thompson of Birmingham and Martha Watson of Mount Olive, AL. He is also survived by 8 step grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren.
