He was predeceased by: his parent Alpha; his son Charles Smith; and his grandsons, Weston and Ethan Fitch. He is survived by: his wife Esther Smith; his children, Darline Keedy (Bill), Sonya Smith, April Simmons and Joe Smith (Terri); and his siblings, Carol Mayes (Phil), Linda Roberts (Gene), Peggy Hayes, Jimmy Smith and Larry Smith (Stella). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
