He is survived by: his wife Brenda Nixon; his daughter Pamela Nixon; his sister Ann Hershberger Hamilton; his grandchildren, Leah Nixon, Jacob Shepherd and Mason Shepherd (Bubba); and also Wesley Shepherd. He is also survived by 5 nieces and 4 nephews.
