It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mike Newton of Albertville, Alabama, born in Geneva, Alabama, who passed away on September 26, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Burke and Votie Mae Newton (Holloway); his daughter Mollie Newton; and his siblings, Paul, Terry Newton and Wanda Newton.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Newton (Wood) of Albertville; his daughters, Elizabeth (Alan Warfield) and Katie (Tom Warren); his grandchildren, Ben Warfield, Matt Warfield and Mollie Warren; and his sister Tina Johnson of Dothan.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to either to the Slocomb Alumni Association, P.O. Box 404 Slocomb, AL 36375 or Shepherd's Cove Hospice, 408 Martling Road, Albertville, AL 35951 in appreciation for their loving care.
