He was predeceased by: his wife Lynda Jean Nelson Shelton; his son Wade Sheton; his parents, Paul James and Martha Wilmajean Ramsey Shelton; and his brother Derick Shelton.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Hailey Floyd Jacob Shelton (Grace), Caleb Cody (Michaela), Bri Ann Cody, Brighten Cody, Brandon Clark and Kaylee Clark; and his sister-in-law Betty Shelton.
