He is survived by: his mother Rhena Carter; his children, Chris Carter, Jonathan Craig (Nikita) and Lindsay Alford (Chris); his grandchildren, Micaela Carter, Riannah Alford, Hunter Alford, Ensleigh Alford, Remmie Alford, Hoyt Alford and Autumn Craig; and his siblings, Michael Carter (Cathy) and Sheila Carroll. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
