He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Darnell and Etrulia Darnell; his wife Virginia Darnell; and his children, Jeffrey Dale Darnell and Kimberly Darnell.
He is survived by: his daughter Beth Darnell of Boaz; his son-in-law Shawn Harper of Boaz; his grandchildren, Nathan, Brittany Burgett, Casey, Hope Underwood, Kate Darnell, Jesse Darnell and Lisa Darnell; and his sisters-in-law, Cloyce, Sharilyn Darnell of Florida, Floyce and Judy Darnell of North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Marshall Baptist Association, Disaster Relief Fund 3555 Al Hwy 69 West, Guntersville, Alabama 35976.
