He was predeceased by : his wife Shirley Faye Guinn Coker; his parents, Willie Velma and Clifton Jefferson Coker; and his siblings, Eloise Coker Wright, Eva Coker Baker, Rueben Coker and Robert Coker.

He is survived by : his daughters, Angela Hendrix (David) and Cindy Osborn (Brian); his grandchildren, Brian Hendrix and Leah Osborn; and his siblings, Floye Partridge and Marvin Coker (Brenda). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
