She was predeceased by : her parents, Jodie Smith and Sadie Hughes Smith; her son-in-law Dale Nicholson; her sister Mildred; her brother-in-law Slim Gentry; her brother J. D.; her sister-in-law Lucille Smith; and her brother Buddy Smith.

She is survived by : her husband Billy Wayne Cannon; her children, Theresa Nicholson, Jakiethia Pitts (Raymond), Bonnie Sharpe, Connie Campbell (Jamie), Mike Montgomery, Terry Montgomery and Greg Montgomery (Jen); her grandchildren, Stephen Nicholson (Morayma), Raymond Pitts, Jr. (Kelly), Beth Poplin (Robbie), Brandon Montgomery (Carrie), Myles Montgomery, Makayla Alexander (Caleb), Branson Montgomery, Monty Cox (Amie), Ashley Montgomery, Damien Montgomery, Brandy Wood (Woody), Amber Yadao (Ronnie), Jamie Lee Campbell and Jody Campbell (Jason); her sister Marche Cotney; and also, Richard Vaughn, Carolyn Tapley and Bonnie Vaughn. She is also survived by twenty five great grandchildren; one great great grandson.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Radney Funeral Home (1326 Dadeville Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Hillview Memorial Park (1926 Hillabee St, Alexander City, AL 35010).
