Hilda Thornton Lacey Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hilda Thornton Lacey (Alexander City, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 8, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Lee Coker and Lela Vines Coker of Tallapoosa County, Alabama.; her husbands, Jerry Thornton and Paul Lacey; her children, Rhonda Thornton and Randall Thornton; her brothers, Gaines Coker and Hoyt Coker; and her close friend Bill Parker.
She is survived by: her son Richard Thornton (Gwen); her daughter-in-law Teresa Terrell; her grandchildren, Misti Bass (Eddie), Christi Florine (Jonathan), Gerron Thornton (Ashley), Jerry Thornton (Brittney), Lee Thornton (Allison) and Michelle Jones; and her pet Bam Bam. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wright's Funeral Home (131 Mason St, Alexander City, AL 35011). A celebration of life was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at the Hillview Memorial Gardens.
