He was predeceased by : his parents, Homer Jones and Mary Sue Joiner Jones; his wife Mary Sue Jones; his sons, Joseph Jones, Ronald Jones and Freddie Jones; and his siblings, Edward, Denson Jones, Mary Elizabeth Jones and Gailya Sanford.

He is survived by : his grandchildren, Randy Jones and Kayla Galloway; his great grandchildren, Jessie Jones, Aaliyah Landry, Ja'kya Landry, Lillian Jones and Zadyn Landry; and his brothers, Paul, Douglas, David and Donald Jones.
