He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Tidwell Rhodes of Alexander City; his daughters, Betty Jean Gillespie of Alexander City and Mollie Speake of Alexander City; his stepson John R. Coker of Alexander City; and his grandchildren, Denita Young (Brian), Jennifer Cooner (Wells), Christie Collins (Brandon), Jeremy Speake, Jarrad Speake (Sherry), Josh Speake (Teresa) and Jamon Speake (Verla). He is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
