She was predeceased by : her parents, Hilary Floyd Newberry and Esta Conaway Newberry; her brothers, Robert Newberry and Johnny Newberry; and her half-siblings, Bobby McGuire and Gayle Mallory.

She is survived by : her husband Charles Raymond Gipson of Alexander City; and her siblings-in-law, Sandra Newberry, Mary McGuire, Sylvia Gibson (James) and Harold Gipson (Marilyn). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
