It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruthie Belle Roberson of Alexander City, Alabama, who passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Green Atkisson and Mary Elsie Dowdy Atkisson; her husband Thomas L Roberson; and her daughter Mary Annette Alison. She is survived by: her children, Lillie Cherie Cavanaugh of Alexander City, Tommie Ruth Hines (Fred Weddeke) of Alexander City, Gwendolyn Joyce House (Larry) of Picayune, MS, Thomas Keith Roberson (Deborah) of Birmingham and Emelie Jannette Chelluk of Alexander City; and her grandchildren, Jimi Washburn (Terra), David Washburn (Susan), Brian Livingston, Keith Allison, Dennis Hines, Gary Hines (Lauren), Alison Christofides (Shane), Chris Stoffregen (Kristen), Danielle Dickinson (Chip), Ruthie Glazier (Brian), Stephanie Chelluk (Chris) and Chuck Chelluk. She is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.
