He is survived by: his wife Alice Faye West Abston; his daughters, Lynn Thompson (Bryan), Kaye Abston and Lisa Rye (Jon); his siblings, Judy Halbert, Dot Barrentine, Tommy Abston (Janet), J. T. Abston (Frances) and Richard Abston (Carol); his grandchildren, Justin Thompson (Stefanie), Shannon Thompson Peeks, Kristen Lee (Dusty), Savannah Rye and Jon Wesley Rye; and his great grandchildren, Leah Thompson, Laurie Thompson, Lilly Thompson, Katie Lowery, Ana-Jo Peeks, Ali-Ray Peeks, Case Lee and Briggs Lee.
