He was predeceased by : his wife Dorothy "Dot" Montgomery; his siblings, Virginia Robertson Stockman, Leon Montgomery and Dennis Montgomery; and his parents, Jessie Thurman Montgomery and Mattie Lee Wheat Montgomery.
He is survived by : his daughters, Sevena Upton of Piedmont, SC and Kim Hickman (Perry) of Carrollton; his sister Pauline Lancaster; his sisters-in-law, Patsy Montgomery, Karen Montgomery and Katie Kimbrell; and his grandchildren, Nikki Haltiwanger (Freddie), Sarah McCranie (Danny), Kelly Mangold (D. J.), Josh Hickman and Lindsey Hickman. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
