She was predeceased by: her husband Johnny Edgar Rush; her brother-in-law Jerry Heath Rush; her sister Martha Glynn Bookout; her stepfather Roy Bowens; and her father Robert Gerald Wheeles.
She is survived by: her children, Shannon Mayhew (Mark) and Nicholas "Nick" Rush (Gail); her brothers, Charles Gerald Wheeles and Bert Lee Wheeles (Linda); her grandchildren, Johnmesha Mayhew, Jamie Caples, Zahkariah Manning, Cameron Rush, Kylar Rush and Karleigh Rush; her great grandchildren, Zaiden Mayhew and Jaden Lewis; her stepmother Jackie Bowens; her stepsister Julie Mathis (Quincy); her aunt Ruby Horsely (James); and her uncle Bud Finch. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
