He was predeceased by: his brothers, Ralph Kimbrell and James Kimbrell; his sister-in-law Juanita Kimbrell; and his parents, Burl Wilson Kimbrell and Zora Thacker Kimbrell.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Perkins (Jerry), Shirley Powell (Donald) and Annette Waites (Elwood); his sister-in-law Barbara Kimbrell; and his close friend Sandra Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
