He was predeceased by: his mother Pat Vernon Burton. He is survived by: his father Dennis Burton, Sr.; his daughter Emily Burton; his brother Steve Burton; his niece Jennifer Burton; and his nephew Jeremy Burton (Theran). He is also survived by extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Dennis' memory to The American Heart Association, The Eagle Rock Boys Ranch or the Etowah County Humane Society.
