He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Kasia Barton; his parents, J. T. Barton and Elzie Barton (Watkins); his sisters, Doris Jean Beachum (E. J.) and Thelma Jo Beatty; and his nieces, Nancy Polk and Martha Whitworth.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Tidwell Barton; his sons, Randy Barton and David Barton; his grandson Jeremy Barton; and his siblings, Max Barton (Glenda), Melba McCurley (Joe) and Ted Barton (Trina). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
